Worries Over New Avenues of Cyber Crime

In 2012, British hacker Gary Mckinnon won a 10-year legal battle for his extradition to the United States to face charges for causing damage to military computers worth $800,000. Though Mr Mckinnon was released on humantarian grounds after medical reports revealed he was likely to kill himself if extradited, he did admit guilt. If convicted of the crime, Mr Mckinnon would have faced 60 years in prison.
