Alex Carrillo – Operations Leader, Foundry Conferencing and Facilitation

Alex Carrillo is an intelligence analyst and expert on counter terrorism.  Carrillo is currently the chairman of the San Diego Maritime Security Committee, Intelligence Subcommittee, and is also the operations lead for Foundry Conferencing and Facilitation, LLC.  Carrillo focused Foundry on educating law enforcement, the intelligence community and private security officers on cyberterrorism threats, including threats from foreign terrorist organizations.

Carrillo previously worked as the intelligence liaison between the San Diego Law Enforcement Coordination Center and the San Diego Joint Terrorism Task Force.  Prior to his counter terrorism work, Carrillo worked as an active duty US Coast Guard officer, where he was a Combat Information Center supervisor, Gunnery Officer, Boarding Officer, and Maritime Mission Commander aboard the USCG Cutter CHASE (WHEC-718), where he engaged in counter-drug operations off the coast of Colombia and Ecuador.  Following his work on CHASE, he supervised the USCG Field Intelligence Support Team in San Diego.

Carrillo holds a B.S. in Management from the US Coast Guard Academy, a Masters in Quality Systems Management from the National Graduate School, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration from the National Graduate School.  His academic work is focused on providing performance metrics for national intelligence fusion centers.
